Latitude 64's Description:
River is one of our most popular discs. And this thing has GLIDE. It is easy to throw and fits most player’s power and skill levels. River is a fairway control driver and while it is not the fastest disc we have made, and does not have the widest wing ever made, it is a disc for accurate driving and good control. With small fade and amazing glide, you can really let it fly on those big anhyzer curves.
This is the disc I've been looking for! I'm fairly new to the sport and can do so much with this disc. Thrown moderate and flat it will fly straight with a small amount of fade. It will hold anhyzers and hyzers almost to the ground (with small fade) if thrown properly. You can throw around a tree in either direction and land right back on your centerline on the other side. If you release a tad later than usual with slight anhyzer it will give you that beautiful spiralling right turn at the end of the flight that the Leopard is famous for. It fits great in my hand and feels perfect. Both Opto (slick and indestructible) and G Line (smooth but grippier) plastic are wonderful. And the glide! This disc just wants to stay in the air. TLDR: A great all-around disc that can do almost anything (except fly straight in high winds). My favorite combo right now is to play a course with just the River and a Berg. Simple and effective! The best compliment I can give this disc is that you will have a blast throwing it! Nailed It disc golf nailed the sale and delivery like a champ - great product, cheap shipping and quick to arrive! Thanks!
I’ve tried two of these , one Gold Line, and an Opto. It’s not for me. I’ve tried tailwind, headwind, and crosswinds... released on all angles sans Anhyzer and it’s 50-50 as to how it fly’s. Sometimes it will glide a mile. Other times, a short dud. Way to finicky for my taste. I’ve had to power down this disc to the point that it’s useless for me. I don’t have the fastest arm, nor do I throw five bills. ( primary distance drive 11, and 12 speeds, and constantly driving 430-450’) I wanted so much for the River to work...but I have slower discs that fly as far and are extremely consistent. That’s my take on the River. It does feel great in the had, plastic is grippy...
